Optimum, a leading provider of internet and TV services, recently partnered with the Interfaith Food Pantry Network (IFPN) to launch a community-wide food drive to provide critical hunger relief for thousands of New Jersey residents. This joint effort came during a period of heightened demand for food banks and hunger relief organizations across Morris County.
The initiative was designed to support families, veterans and seniors facing food insecurity, aiming to ensure all New Jerseyans have access to nourishing meals this season.
Optimum hosted food donation boxes at select retail stores, inviting community members to contribute non-perishable food items.
Elton Hart, vice president, general manager of Optimum Tri-State, stressed the urgency of the drive.
“With the need for food assistance at an all-time high, it was never more urgent for us to come together and support our neighbors,” Hart said. “We believe in the power of community and recognize that every donation makes a meaningful difference. Through this food drive, we hope to strengthen the ties that bind us and stand with families throughout Morris County during this season of giving.”
The food drive was active through Nov. 20.
Thanks to the generosity of customers and staff at select Optimum retail stores, over 700 pounds of donations were gathered – enough to provide nearly 700 meals for families in New Jersey.
