Toral Patel, a recent Rutgers grad who already has experience working in the offices of Gov. Phil Murphy and Sen. Paul Sarlo, has been named communications director for the Brendan Gill for Congress campaign.
Patel brings a strong background in strategic communications, digital engagement and public messaging and will be tasked with playing a critical role in shaping and executing the campaign’s communications strategy.
In this role, Patel will oversee all communications operations, manage messaging across digital and traditional platforms and collaborate closely with members of the media to share Brendan Gill’s vision for New Jersey’s 11th congressional district.
“We are excited to welcome Toral to the campaign to help ensure voters know exactly what we stand for,” Gill said. “Her talent will allow us to communicate our vision, and her expertise will help drive momentum across the district. We’re also committed to building a team that reflects the diversity and strength of the 11th District, and I’m thrilled to have her join us as we deepen our community connections.”
Campaign manager Danielle O’Bryne said Patel will play a vital role in defining messaging to ensure voters understand Gill’s priorities.
“Her communications expertise will elevate our efforts as we seek to reach voters,” she said. I’m excited to have her with us as we continue reaching out to residents throughout the district.”
Patel, who has a degree from Rutgers University in political science, economics and public policy, said she’s eager to take on the role.
“Brendan has fought for progressive values across Essex County throughout his career,” she said. “I’m thrilled to help share that message and engage with the community every step of the way. Together, we will ensure residents feel heard, represented, and included in this campaign.”
