Florham Park-based Saiber announced it added Marc Freedman as member and Steven Friedland as counsel, effective July 1. Both attorneys join Saiber from the boutique firm Freedman & Friedland LLC, bringing decades of experience in corporate and employment law, particularly within the staffing industry.
Friedland will join the firm as counsel in the Litigation practice group. With a focus on employment law and litigation, he brings over two decades of experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, as well as representing businesses in commercial litigation. He also regularly counsels clients on day-to-day workplace matters and drafts various agreements, policies, and compliance materials. Previously, Friedland practiced employment and labor law at two firms with a national presence.
Freedman, a seasoned corporate attorney, joins the firm’s Business Services group as a member. With an extensive background in employment and corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, Freedman brings deep knowledge of the legal and business issues impacting staffing companies and other industries. He previously served as general counsel and senior executive officer for one of the largest public companies in the temporary employment sector. His wide-ranging experience includes corporate acquisitions, securities compliance, labor relations, defending employers in discrimination matters and class actions, restrictive covenant litigation, risk management, and strategic consulting for senior executives. He is currently general counsel to the New Jersey Staffing Alliance and formerly served in similar roles with national staffing associations.
