Camden-based Subaru of America named one of ‘America’s Greatest Workplaces in Manufacturing’ for 2026

Subaru of America, Inc., headquartered in Camden, has been named to Newsweek’s “America’s Greatest Workplaces in Manufacturing 2026” list. This marks the second consecutive year the automaker has received the honor, highlighting its dedication to balancing high-tech innovation with a “human-first” company culture.

The Newsweek rankings, developed in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group, are built on an extensive research methodology. The 2026 list is backed by an analysis of 10 key metrics of employee satisfaction, drawing from more than 575,000 interviews and 7.6 million company reviews.

As AI and automation reshape the industrial landscape, Newsweek evaluated employers on their ability to modernize manufacturing roles through improved safety, upskilling, and fair compensation.

“Prioritizing a strong workplace culture creates a powerful ripple effect,” Jennifer Cunningham, Newsweek Editor-in-Chief. “Our extensive research shows that when companies genuinely invest in employee satisfaction, engagement naturally follows… A great workplace truly benefits everyone involved.”

The impact of this investment is significant; according to Gallup data, highly engaged teams boost profitability by 23 percent, productivity by 14 percent, and sales by 18 percent.

Subaru of America was joined on the 2026 list by several other prominent companies with significant operations in New Jersey. The honorees were ranked by their star-tier performance:
