The Count Basie Center for the Arts recently announced the appointment of three new members to its board of trustees.
- Carlina Jessen
- Kathryn Lissy
- Cathy Pugliese-Sivo
Jessen is a 30-year veteran at Merrill, where she currently serves as market executive for the Red Bank Wealth Management Market, representing a team of financial advisors and client associates and leading strategy and client experience in the market.
Lissy graduated from New York University School of Law and is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey and has served as a senior staff attorney for Brooklyn Defender Services, where she represented clients in the organization’s Special Litigation Unit and the Law & Appeals Unit of the Family Defense Practice.
Pugliese-Sivo joins the Basie Center Board following a dedicated 19-year career as a Research Scientist at the Schering Plough Research Institute, which began after her foundational research experience at NYU Medical Center’s Department of Medicine.
Count Basie Center for the Arts CEO Adam Philipson welcomed their dedication.
“Ms. Jessen, Ms. Lissy and Ms. Sivo are true patrons of the arts,” he said. “Each of these individuals believe in the Count Basie Center’s mission of creating shared educational, artistic and community experiences, and each are exciting additions to our Board’s active body of leaders.”
