The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) and global innovation hub SOSA have officially opened the gates for international businesses to plant roots in the Garden State.
Applications for the New Jersey Business Acceleration and Soft-Landing Ecosystem (NJ BASE) Business Immersion Program launch today May 4. Headquartered in Jersey City, the program is designed to act as a premier “landing pad” for foreign companies looking to navigate the complexities of entering and scaling within the United States market.
Operated by SOSA, NJ BASE offers more than just an office address. Participating international firms will receive:
- Free Co-working Space: High-quality facilities located in the heart of Jersey City’s booming tech corridor.
- Strategic Support: Hands-on guidance regarding U.S. go-to-market strategies, operational setup, and financing.
- Ecosystem Access: Direct introductions to New Jersey’s leading corporations, venture capitalists, and innovation partners.
The program’s goal is to drive long-term economic growth by attracting high-quality jobs and investment to the state, reinforcing New Jersey’s position as a global innovation leader.
The NJEDA is specifically targeting revenue-generating companies headquartered outside the U.S. that possess the capital necessary to support a domestic expansion. While the program offers a “soft landing,” there is a strong expectation that participants will establish permanent operations and hire local teams in New Jersey following the immersion.
Eligible sectors include New Jersey’s high-growth priority industries:
- Life Sciences & Health Innovation
- Climate & Clean Technologies
- Fintech & Cybersecurity
- Advanced Manufacturing
- AI, Data Solutions, and Media Innovation
The application window is brief, reflecting the competitive nature of the program.
- Applications Open: Monday, May 4
- Applications Close: Monday, June 15
