Full-service property management firm RHO Residential LLC has secured a massive new third-party management agreement to oversee 15 luxury multifamily properties across the Northeast. The portfolio, formerly owned by Veris Residential, encompasses more than 6,000 Class-A apartments and over 182,000 square feet of retail space.
The strategic appointment nearly doubles RHO Residential’s total operations, elevating its management footprint to just under 12,000 units spread across 40 distinct communities. The move also marks RHO’s official expansion into the New England market, adding premium properties in the greater Boston metropolitan area alongside its primary holdings in New Jersey.
The transition follows a landmark $3.5 billion privatization acquisition of Veris Residential by an investor consortium spearheaded by Craig Solomon of Affinius Capital, in partnership with Vista Hill Partners—an investment group led by seasoned real estate developers Bradford Klatt and Jonathan Kushner.
A massive portion of the newly acquired properties sits within Hudson County—one of the nation’s most competitive and established rental corridors. The operational breakdown establishes RHO as one of the largest privately held third-party management entities in the region.
“As we evaluated the long-term operating strategy for this portfolio, it became clear that RHO Residential offered a unique combination of institutional management expertise, operational depth, and longstanding familiarity with these Class A properties,” Brad Klatt of Vista Hill Partners said. “We believe RHO is exceptionally well positioned to guide these properties through this transition.”

The management shift represents a major full-circle professional moment for RHO Residential CEO and President Brenda Cioce.
Cioce’s real estate career has been inextricably linked to these exact buildings for decades. She joined Roseland Property Management in 1998, eventually rising to President of Property Management. She retained that executive role after the company was acquired in 2012 by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, which eventually rebranded to focus exclusively on multifamily real estate as Veris Residential. In 2019, Cioce departed to launch RHO Residential.
The transition will effectively serve as a massive corporate reunion. RHO is officially absorbing 136 former Veris regional, corporate, and on-site building personnel into its ranks, expanding RHO’s total workforce to 250 professionals.
“Many of the communities — and the people who support them — have been central to my career for nearly three decades,” Cioce remarked. “Having worked across much of this portfolio and alongside a large number of the professionals now returning, there’s a strong sense of familiarity and alignment. Reuniting this talent at scale creates a real opportunity to raise the bar.”
