Walters, a Barnegat-based developer, has officially opened the affordable housing lottery for the first phase of Cornerstone at Galloway, a premium income-restricted apartment community in Atlantic County.
Located at 110 South Wrangleboro Road, Cornerstone at Galloway I comprises 66 units and is the first of a three-phase community. Applications to enter the housing lottery will be accepted through Dec. 2, with the drawing scheduled for Dec. 22. Completion of this initial phase is anticipated for the spring of 2026.
“As this region continues to experience rapid growth, the demand for quality housing has never been greater,” Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters, said. “This new development offers families access to safe, modern housing with plenty of amenities.”
The apartments will feature a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, all designed with private front-door entrances that open directly to the street.
The new community is designed to achieve LEED® and ENERGY STAR® status for its incorporation of sustainable features. Residences will come equipped with full-size washers/dryers, fully equipped kitchens, and window blinds.
On-site amenities for residents include:
- A multipurpose clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center.
- A children’s tot lot and a basketball court.
- Computer workstations and onsite parking.
- Walters will also provide on-site supportive services to residents.
Cornerstone at Galloway will be available to residents whose incomes are at or below 60 percent of the area’s median income. Rental rates will be determined based on the renter’s gross annual income, according to the rent/income requirements chart.
