Daniel Caldwell named president of Friends of MEND board

The PS&S Architects & Engineers VP has been on the board since 2007

Daniel Caldwell has been appointed president of the Board of Trustees of Friends of MEND, Inc., the nonprofit that supports Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development’s affordable housing mission in South Jersey.

Caldwell, a vice president at PS&S Architects & Engineers, has served on the Friends of MEND board since 2007. In his new role, he will lead community engagement and strategic growth efforts for the organization, which supports MEND’s work providing affordable housing to seniors, people with disabilities, and low- and moderate-income families across the region.

Before joining PS&S, Caldwell co-founded Stout & Caldwell Engineers in 2004.

Eileen Wirth, MEND’s president and CEO, said Caldwell was the right fit.

“Dan’s leadership experience, industry knowledge and deep commitment to relationship-building make him an outstanding choice to lead Friends of MEND, Inc.,” she said. “His passion advancing community-centered growth strategies aligns closely with MEND’s mission and future goals.”

Founded in 1969 by several Moorestown churches, MEND has developed more than 770 residential units at 31 locations across southern New Jersey — representing a $150 million real estate investment in the region over more than 55 years.
