Summer 2026 in Atlantic City brings new entertainment, dining and Beach experiences

Mirroring the strong tourism momentum established over the past year, Atlantic City’s casino operators and civic stakeholders are rolling out a wave of major infrastructure upgrades, beachfront attractions, and property reinvestments just in time for the Memorial Day Weekend kickoff.

The multi-property push follows a massive capital development campaign. According to data from the LIGHT 2025 Impact: Atlantic City Casino Industry report, operators have injected more than $1 billion into localized hospitality assets over a rolling five-year cycle. These investments have completely reshaped hotel towers, expanded gaming configurations, and delivered highly anticipated celebrity-chef culinary concepts across the resort zone.

The regional casino gaming industry remains the primary economic engine of South Jersey, anchoring more than 22,000 direct corporate jobs. Crucially for the local economy, two-thirds of those hospitality workers are full-time residents of Atlantic County.

“Atlantic City casinos continue to invest in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests with world-class dining, premier entertainment and exciting gaming offerings that cannot be found anywhere else on the East Coast,” George Goldhoff, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) said. “We are constantly evolving to meet the expectations of today’s visitors while helping drive tourism, economic development and job growth throughout the region.”

Visitors returning to the seaside resort destination this summer will navigate a substantially upgraded urban and coastal landscape. Five foundational public and private projects are driving this year’s seasonal evolution:

Project Sector Initiative Details Target Impact
Airshow Entertainment Soar & Shore Airshow (May 29-31) Returning multi-day aerial performance series directly over the oceanfront and Boardwalk corridors.
Civil Infrastructure $26 Million Boardwalk Reinvestment Complete physical refurbishment optimizing structural access, pedestrian traffic flows, and safety ahead of peak volume.
Coastal Protection Targeted Beach Replenishment Mass shoreline engineering providing direct sand security and expanded footprints, specifically aiding North Beach casino real estate.
Downtown Renewal Renaissance Plaza Supermarket Lease Long-term commercial agreement with Moran Foods to build a full-service grocery hub by December 2026, erasing a core downtown food desert.
Residential Real Estate Inlet & Orange Loop Infill Development Nearly 300 housing units slated by K. Hovnanian in the Inlet, flanked by Kushner Company’s Caspian Pointe and independent boutique spaces in the creative Orange Loop sector.

On the casino floor and within individual resort footprints, operators are moving aggressively to capture luxury spend. Major updates hitting the market this summer feature reimagined, high-limit gaming lounges, fully updated suite packages, and newly engineered beachfront cocktail lounges that flow seamlessly onto the sand.

Gary Musich, president and CEO of Visit Atlantic City, pointed out that the regional push is part of a broader, collaborative effort to elevate the town’s profile.

“The momentum we are seeing across tourism, events, and development reflects the incredible collaboration among our casino properties, local businesses, and community stakeholders as we continue attracting new visitors to the region,” Musich stated.
