Bergen County tech powerhouse ELLKAY names Lucky Singh as new CTO

ELLKAY, an Elmwood Park-based player in health care data orchestration, recently announced the appointment of Lucky Singh as chief technology officer (CTO). The move signals a major strategic pivot toward an AI-first vision for the firm.

In his new role, Singh will oversee ELLKAY’s technology strategy and product architecture, with a specific focus on scaling the company’s intelligent automation and machine learning capabilities. The appointment comes at a critical time as healthcare providers and payers grapple with increasingly complex data interoperability requirements.

Singh brings over two decades of high-level engineering experience to the North Jersey tech leader. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of Software Engineering at Inovalon, where he was credited with modernizing legacy healthcare analytics into a cloud-native, data-intelligence-driven platform.

His resume also includes significant leadership stints at global tech giants:

  • Workday: Served as Vice President of Software Development, infusing machine learning into enterprise applications for millions of users.
  • Salesforce and Oracle: Held key roles focused on building predictive capabilities into core enterprise systems.

“Lucky’s track record modernizing platforms in highly regulated environments is exactly what this moment requires,” Ajay Kapare, president & CEO of ELLKAY said. “The real measure of any technology is whether it makes our clients’ work easier, their data more trustworthy, and their decisions better. That’s what Lucky’s focused on.”

ELLKAY has long been a cornerstone of the burgeoning tech sector in Elmwood Park, earning a reputation for building secure, scalable data exchange systems. By bringing in a veteran with an MBA, an engineering degree, and credentials from the Wharton Chief Technology Program, the company is doubling down on its commitment to high-level technical leadership in the Garden State.

“ELLKAY has earned its reputation as a trusted partner in healthcare data orchestration,” Singh said. “I’m focused on building that foundation – making sure the work we do translates into real value for our customers and the patients who depend on them.”

As the health care industry moves toward more transparent and accessible data sharing, ELLKAY’s platform serves as the “pipes” connecting diverse systems. With Singh at the helm of technology, the company plans to leverage AI-driven automation to improve processing speeds and compliance accuracy—critical factors for the payers and providers that form ELLKAY’s core client base.

The appointment is the latest in a series of leadership reinforcements for ELLKAY as it continues to expand its footprint from its New Jersey home base to the national stage.
