The Goldstein Group on Monday said it successfully brokered the sale of a three-store retail building located at 1885 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood.
The announcement was made by Neil Goldstein, principal of The Goldstein Group.
The deal brought together local and investment interests to further the ongoing revitalization of the Springfield Avenue corridor:
- The Sellers: WNW Maplewood Properties, LLC, was represented by Neil Goldstein, Principal, and Chuck Lanyard, President of The Goldstein Group.
- The Buyer: Wang Xing Property, LLC, was represented by Dina Cocuzza of Coldwell Banker Realty.
- Future Concept: The new ownership plans to transform the property’s former LexAnn Pharmacy space into an Asian-style restaurant.
The sale highlights the steady commercial growth and modernization defining Maplewood’s business districts. Recent municipal investments have paved the way for increased investor interest in the area.
“Springfield Avenue has started to change over the past few years with new developments along with the township improving the district with renovations,” Neil Goldstein said. “We are thrilled we were able to work with both the seller and buyer in bringing this deal to fruition and look forward to the new restaurant that will open for business.”
The incoming restaurant will join a bustling neighborhood mix of national brands, essential services, and popular local eateries. Surrounding retailers and dining spots include Walgreens, Advance Auto Parts, Sherwin Williams, Dunkin’, Dollar Tree, Wawa, Dollar General, The Little Gym, Burger King, Liquor Cave, Wine Barrel and The Apothecarium Dispensary. It also shares the neighborhood with local culinary staples such as Cornbread, The Sandwicheria, and Avenue Pub.
