LEAP Consulting Group expands enterprise AI practice with new proprietary maturity assessment and agentic automation

As businesses navigate the shift from AI experimentation to full-scale deployment, LEAP Consulting Group has announced a major expansion of its enterprise AI practice. The Elmwood Park-based advisory firm is doubling down on high-return automation for regulated industries, anchored by a new, free proprietary maturity assessment designed to stop organizations from committing capital before they are truly “AI-ready.”

The expansion targets core functional areas where AI delivers the most immediate financial impact: Revenue Operations (RevOps), Finance Operations (FinOps), and Customer Success Operations (CS Ops).

A centerpiece of the announcement is LEAP’s AI Maturity Assessment. Recognizing that many firms overestimate their technical readiness, LEAP is offering a structured diagnostic that scores organizations across seven critical dimensions, including data readiness, governance, and talent culture.

The assessment categorizes companies into five maturity levels—from “Foundational” to “Leading”—and provides a prioritized investment roadmap tailored to specific industry regulations.

“Most organizations are earlier in their AI journey than they believe,” Josh Kramer, managing partner at LEAP Consulting Group said. “The challenge is not access to models—it’s whether the underlying data, systems, and operating models can support AI at scale. Our assessment gives clients an honest baseline before capital is committed.”

LEAP’s expanded practice specializes in “Agentic AI”—autonomous systems that can perform complex tasks—with a heavy emphasis on compliance. The firm’s capabilities are specifically tuned for sectors like life sciences and clinical diagnostics, where falling short of regulatory standards is not an option.

Key areas of focus in the expanded practice include:

  • Revenue & Finance Ops: Automating pipeline forecasting, cloud cost governance, and real-time board reporting.
  • Compliance & Risk: Deploying AI governance frameworks that align with SOX, SEC, FDA, GxP, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Product Development: Integrating AI into Agile sprint planning, CI/CD pipeline automation, and compliance-aligned software development.
  • Clinical Applications: Advancing computer-assisted diagnostics and AI-augmented workflows for research and clinical environments.

“Compliant AI is in our DNA,” the firm stated, noting that their mission is to help organizations “imagine, design, buy, build, and scale” platforms that meet the rigorous demands of the modern regulatory landscape.

The AI Maturity Assessment is currently available at no cost through the company’s website, providing a low-barrier entry point for New Jersey enterprises looking to audit their AI potential.
