Bayer teams with Luke Bryan to donate 1 million meals to rural communities

Bayer, the global life sciences giant headquartered in Whippany, has joined forces with country music superstar Luke Bryan to launch their 2026 campaign aimed at fighting food insecurity. As part of the initiative, Bayer has pledged to donate 1 million meals through Feeding America® to support rural communities across the United States.

The campaign officially kicks off May 14–16 in California with a series of high-profile events, including a community food drive at a Clovis Walmart and designated donation stops during Bryan’s famed Farm Tour.

The partnership between the Whippany-based corporation and the five-time Entertainer of the Year is a long-standing one. Since 2015, the collaboration has contributed more than 11 million meals to the Feeding America network.

“Farm Tour has always been about showing up for the communities and farmers that feed this country,” Bryan said. “Partnering with folks like Bayer and Feeding America who share that respect for agriculture makes those nights even more meaningful.”

The 2026 campaign is designed to engage fans directly through local food drives. Attendees at the Farm Tour stops in Clovis and Elk Grove are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable items.

Highlights of the campaign include:

  • The “Science Delivers” Experience: A mobile educational unit from Bayer that showcases how scientific innovation strengthens agricultural communities.
  • FFA “Spirit of 1776” Challenge: In honor of the U.S. semiquincentennial, Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters will compete to build structures out of canned goods, which will then be donated to local food banks.
  • One A Day® Collaboration: Bayer will launch a limited-edition One A Day x Luke Bryan multivitamin at Walmart beginning in July, emphasizing the link between food access and essential nutrition.

While the campaign features star power and stadium lights, its core mission addresses a sobering reality. According to Feeding America, approximately 48 million people in the U.S. face food insecurity, including 14 million children. Rural areas often face the steepest challenges due to limited access to affordable, nutrient-rich food.

“Bayer is proud to partner with Luke Bryan to help improve access to food and nutrition in rural communities,” Beth Roden, senior vice president and head of communications at Bayer North America said. “This initiative builds on our longstanding relationship with Feeding America to help address the evolving needs of the communities we serve.”

The initiative aligns with Bayer’s global corporate mission: “Health for all, Hunger for none.” By leveraging the reach of the Farm Tour, Bayer—which saw 2025 sales reach 45.6 billion euros—aims to turn high-energy entertainment into a sustainable source of relief for underserved neighbors.
