NAI James E. Hanson, the state’s largest independent full-service commercial real estate firm, on Wednesday announced the successful $1.48 million sale of 163 Liberty Street, a 6,000-square-foot industrial facility in Hackensack.
The transaction, brokered by NAI James E. Hanson Vice President Dominic Fittizzi, marks a strategic relocation for the buyer, New Jersey Fire Equipment. The company, which has served the state’s public safety, industrial, and commercial sectors since 1930, will move its operations from its current Ridgefield Park site to the new Hackensack location.
The 163 Liberty Street property was highly sought after due to its prime positioning within central Bergen County. The single-story industrial building features 12-foot ceilings, a drive-in door, and dedicated on-site parking. Its proximity to major transportation arteries—including Interstate 80 and Routes 17 and 46—offers the company seamless connectivity to northern New Jersey markets and efficient access to New York City via the George Washington Bridge.
“Prime industrial space in central Bergen County remains in high demand, and finding a building that truly fits a business’s needs is increasingly difficult in today’s market,” Dominic Fittizzi said. “It is an honor to help a longtime New Jersey company secure an ideal new location that supports its operations and positions the business for continued growth.”
The deal underscores NAI James E. Hanson’s continued activity in the regional industrial market. Following its 2025 acquisition of The Garibaldi Group and NAI Summit, the firm continues to expand its reach and service capabilities across the New Jersey commercial landscape.
For New Jersey Fire Equipment, the move to Hackensack represents a commitment to maintaining its legacy as a leading supplier of vital equipment for fire departments, law enforcement, and EMS agencies across the state.
