Sterling Properties and Danbro Properties celebrate grand opening of Canterly Place in Livingston

Sterling Properties Group and Danbro Properties officially unveiled Canterly Place, a new 300-unit luxury rental community located at 51 Okner Parkway in Livingston, New Jersey. The project, which celebrated its grand opening on June 10, 2026, marks a significant addition to the western Essex County residential market.

Situated along the Passaic River, the community offers a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Of the 300 total units, 240 are market-rate and 60 are designated as affordable housing, including specific allocations for Jewish Services for the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (JSIDD).

The residences are designed with modern high-end finishes, including:

  • Quartz countertops and kitchen islands
  • Stainless steel appliances
  • Custom closet systems and rain showers
  • Ceilings reaching up to 10 feet, with some units featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies or terraces.

Canterly Place was recently honored with the 2026 Excellence Award for Best Multifamily Amenity Space by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Northern New Jersey District Council. The community’s extensive amenity package includes:

  • Wellness & Recreation: A resort-style pool courtyard with a pergola, a fitness center and yoga studio, basketball and pickleball courts, and a golf simulator.
  • Social & Productivity: A grand atrium lobby with an onsite concierge, co-working spaces, a coffee house, a clubroom, a library, and a private dining room.
  • Outdoor & Pet-Friendly Features: BBQ courtyards with fire pits, a Zen garden, community gardens, a dog park with a pet spa, and a quarter-mile walking path.

Building community is Canterly Place’s unifying design philosophy,” said Andrew Zuckerman, Senior Vice President of Sterling Properties Group. “From the carefully curated amenity package to the quality of construction… every aspect of the community was designed to bring residents together and create a true sense of belonging.”

The development team, which included Lessard Design (architecture) and Mary Cook Associates (interiors), was supported by Northwestern Mutual as a financial partner.
